Senior Financial Planner

Peter has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Holding a Diploma in Financial Planning, Peter obtained his Masters of Financial Planning in 2006 from the University of Sunshine Coast. In 2008 he joined Elders Financial Planning and was awarded the Elders Financial Planning CEO Award in 2014.

Initially, a career in the banking industry led Peter to become Branch Manager in several small regional towns.  It soon became apparent however that Peter wanted to do more for customers than just help them to service their debt. He wanted to show people how they could instead protect debt, grow wealth and, importantly, help them to look at the “bigger picture”.

As an Authorised Representative of Elders Financial Planning, Peter believes in helping his clients build the complete plan - to maximise their earning potential during their working years by guiding them through superannuation, managed investments, estate planning and retirement planning strategies. This is achieved by providing quality advice, genuine and personalised service and practical ideas to deliver achievable solutions.

As part of the advice process, Peter provides education on the recommended strategies to ensure that clients understand how they will assist them to reach their goals. Peter believes in holding regular ongoing reviews with his clients to continue that education process and to make alterations for personal circumstances as the goal posts shift throughout their lives and also account for changes in markets and, importantly, legislation.

Peter has a farming background in regional New South Wales and Queensland and has a family history in milking cows, small crops, bananas and sugar cane as well as other rural pursuits over the years.  These days Peter is active in the community and enjoys giving back to others through his involvement in Rotary.

Peter is married with four adult children and two grandchildren. His children are living both in Australia and overseas and ensuring that he has time to travel with his wife and visit them is what is important to Peter.
